Wind Telecommunications
"How far are you willing to go to gather money for your dream smartphone?"
This is the second commercial of a campaign for Wind telecommunications.
We see a young man having tea with his grandmother. He looks skeptical.
Using very fast cuts we go through his thoughts of having his grandmother's
favorite rocking chair sold to an antiquer, leaving her sitting on a carton
box, in order to gain the money for a smartphone.
A freeze frame along with a sound effect were used to separate reality from
fantasy - in this case the rocking chair sale - as well as to give emphasis
to the narrator's question which is the "key line" of the script.
Finally, he chooses to go to a Wind shop where he can find smartphones
at extremely low prices.
The casting here was very important. The viewer becomes emotionally
attached to the grandmother. The use of close ups provide emphasis.
